This tasty turkey and stuffing casserole with gravy is a delicious way to repurpose Thanksgiving leftovers. It combines turkey, stuffing, and gravy, along with a little cranberry sauce for topping. Combining all those ingredients in one dish combats the common problem with turkey leftovers—the fact that it can be dry.

Even if it’s not Thanksgiving, that’s no problem as this recipe can be made with freshly cooked turkey or chicken (diced or sliced), along with prepared or homemade stuffing as well.

Turkey stuffing casserole is a nice dish to make for a potluck dinner and can be scaled up or down quite easily. The cubed cranberry sauce gives the casserole extra flavor. If you don’t think your family would be fond of cranberry sauce within the casserole itself, serve it on the side.

Recipe Variations

  • Replace the turkey with chicken for a chicken and dressing casserole.
  • Sauté about 1/2 cup of diced celery and 1/2 cup of diced onion in butter and add to the prepared stuffing mixture for some extra crunch and flavor. An equal amount of diced carrots would taste good, too.
  • Add some fresh or dried chopped parsley, sage, rosemary, and/or thyme to the turkey before layering it in the casserole dish.
  • Add chopped toasted pecans or walnuts to the stuffing mixture.
